When are we old enough to die??!
Recently during a lecture one of my professor raised this question.
which in fact was true. I pondered upon the whole event. We were mistaken at two levels of our thought. The first thing was we didn't mind to go deep into the question, and second how trivial and narrow our thoughts are.
"When are we old enough to die??!"We were asked to answer it.We all started thinking really hard, trying to get hold of the recent statistics in our mind. We arrived at conclusions like 80,85,90, etc. To our amazement our professor gave us this answer.
"We are old enough to die,at the moment we are born"
This happens most of the time. Sometimes we loose some relationships due to this lack of thought. We never try to think from the point of view of the question raiser. When a child ask us a simple question, often we tend to avoid it due to its insignificance. But we never find the curiosity hidden deep inside those eyes.In life every question we face comes from an emotion.Problems turn their ugly head out when we are incapable of understanding that emotion.
The second thing which bothered me is how narrow our minds are. We read, we understand,we learn,we reflect, yet we are incapable of thinking broadly. We are all trapped inside a bunch of tangled believes and superstitions. The fault occurs when we read, learn, understand and reflect being inside this maze.Nothing changes , because the ultimate result going out will be carved by the maze. We need to free our minds from such believes and think freely.Of course everything is part of our life and culture. But we need to keep our individuality which should always be free. No reading can benefit you, until your thoughts are free..!!
